Jewel Staite is a Canadian actress born in White Rock, British Columbia. Though she has acting credits that span from 1991 to today, she’s best known for being the heart of the show Firefly (2002-03). In spite of lasting just one season, people still put Firefly on their lists of best science fiction shows of all time.
