Matt Groening explained why the Simpsons are yellow for the decade-spanning animated series.
According to an article on UNILAD, Groening revealed the interesting tidbit in an interview with the BBC. Groening said he wanted the cartoon to be unique, so he didn’t want to use “conventional cartoon colors.”
