Beck Bennett announced today that he is leaving SNL after 8 seasons. Only 15 other cast members all-time have a longer run than that. Also with 8: Horacio Sanz, Amy Poehler, Chris Parnell, Phil Hartman, Will Forte and Michael Che.
I’m just glad that before Beck left the show he gifted us the amazing four minutes that are this Del Taco commercial taping.
When Bennett joined the cast back in 2013, it seemed that he and Kyle Mooney would take over the hole left by Andy Samberg and the rest of the Lonely Island’s departure. Sketches like “Dancing” only encouraged that thinking:
