Vanna White Through the Years Because It’s Her 69th Birthday
“Can I buy an O?”….
O, baby.
Vanna White has been turning letters since before the internet existed.
Like gravity and taxes, I feel like Vanna White has always just sort of… existed.
And this is absolutely no disrespect to Mrs. White. But she sort of has the easiest job in America?
White has been the co-host of Wheel of Fortune for more than 42 years.
She joined the show in December 1982 and became a permanent fixture on the popular primetime game show.
Here are some fun facts to celebrate Vanna’s 69th birthday:
Start Date: December 1982 (after Susan Stafford left).
Role: Co-host/Letter-turner (transitioned to “letter-toucher” in 1997).
Tenure: Over 4 decades, making her one of the longest-serving game show hosts.
Contract: She signed a contract extension keeping her on the show through the 2025-2026 season.
What’s Wild: She’s noted she only works about 34 days a year, filming six Wheel of Fortune shows per day (including several wardrobe changes).
Happy trails, Vanna White. Here’s to another 40 years of letter touching.
Speaking of touching, here’s how beautifully the South Carolinian has aged through the years.
