Former Miss World USA and superhero superstar, Lynda Carter, is best known for playing the titular Wonder Woman in the Wonder Woman television series that aired on ABC, then CBS, from 1975-1979.
Carter also pursued a career as a singer and voice actor, releasing her debut album, Portrait, with Epic Records in 1978. As a voice actor, Carter was the first woman to perform voiceover for a movie trailer in 1975.
Carter has voice acted in numerous Elder Scrolls video games and was the voice of characters in Rage 2 and Fallout 4 (for which she recorded five original songs). A Jill-of-all-trades, Carter toured the country for An Evening with Lynda Carter, her one-woman cabaret show, in 2007.
Carter celebrated 27 years of sobriety in 2021, and in March, at the age of 72, she released a new single, “Letters from Earth,” about her late husband, to whom she was married for 37 years.
