Wilfred might be one of the most underrated TV shows of the new millennium. From Australian writer/actor Jason Gann, Wilfred first originated in 2002. It would go on to have great success on the festival circuit (including Sundance Film Festival) in 2003.
In 2010, the Australian format was sold to FX, and would end up having the network’s highest-rated comedy debut.
Thanks to stellar performances from both Gann and Elijah Wood, Wilfred (US) would run for 4 seasons before wrapping up. But not until Gann gave us pure gold in the form of man’s best friend. Enjoy.
