So apparently the actual POPE came out against the use of AI the other week, which was not something I had on my 2026 BINGO card.
I’ve always likened the use of AI for finding information to be around the same level of competency as asking my grandma to Google something for me. She probably will, in fact, manage to pull up some information from the internet.
But just how legitimate that information is, or how trustworthy the source, is another matter entirely. So much so that it would probably be easier and safer for me to just look something up myself.
With that frame of mind, hearing someone say that they “just asked ChatGPT” leaves me a bit skeptical. As should it leave you, in my humble opinion.
And the Pope’s too, apparently!
