I love stand-up comedy.
You get comedians from different backgrounds, different styles.
Steve Martin is a good example — he was strange on stage, and it just works in a way that you can’t really explain.
His stand-up didn’t have traditional punchlines, his delivery style relied on mock-confidence, and his deadpan delivery was kind of the opposite of traditional punchlines.
Definitely an interesting dude.
Steve Martin sold out arenas doing stand-up comedy in ways that nobody had done that before. To be honest… Nobody has really done it since in quite the same way.
