I don’t know if I’m just getting old, but I feel there’s something so pure about the classic meme format.
Use a silly photo of someone. Block text above, punchline below.
Easy.
Most of those silly photos of people had their own unique names and vibes, too. Ancient Alien Guy is gonna be spouting some tinfoil hat conspiracy. Bad Luck Brian will probably have something bad happen to him. The internet turned them into full-blown characters through their years of cultural relevance.
But they were real people, too, who age just like the rest of us.
So while the age of the classic meme format is long past, I figured why not take a look back at some of those meme characters and see what they look like now (or at least a few years removed from their fateful meme photo).
