Did you know slo-mo was actually invented by an Austrian priest???
The guy was also a physicist by the name of August Musger. He figured out how to create a device that used rotating mirrors to project film at a slower frame rate, thus creating the first instance of slo-mo.
That was way back in 1904 — just a decade or so after the invention of motion picture cameras.
So we should all thank ol’ August for that genius invention, because slo-mo really does make everything — from sports plays to dogs running to certain actresses getting out of certain pools — look way cooler.
