This might be a bit of a hot take but hear me out:
Maybe humans have just a tad too much free will to work with.
Maybe the fact that we are free to, technically, do anything we want (within the confines of the law) gives our strange little brains a bit too much leeway to get really freaking weird.
Or maybe that’s the whole point. I’m no philosopher, I’m just a collector and curator of interesting stuff I find on the internet.
