While it seems fairly straightforward, using the right emoji is a skill. They may just look like fun little pictures on your phone, but each one carries entire worlds of meaning.
For example, the difference between these two smiley faces is vast: 😊,🙃.
One says “have a great day.” The other says “I am unraveling.”
But people of a certain age demographic may not make that distinction…
Listen, I’ve got nothing against seniors. I’m fully aware that’s going to be us one day, if we’re lucky enough to get there. And honestly, good for them for trying.
But somewhere between the reading glasses coming off and the send button getting hit, things often go a little sideways. Maybe it’s a generational translation issue. Maybe the font is just really small.
Either way, the results are absolutely hilarious.
