What’s actually harder nowadays– having a job, or trying to get one? If you haven’t had to search for job in a long time, consider yourself lucky. It’s basically become a game of Sonic, where the hoops and challenges keep changing and moving every day.
On one hand, you’ve got the endless applications, ghosted emails and DMs, interviews that somehow require 3-5 years of experience for an entry level role in the mail-room. That’s IF they even look at your resume. Usually now it’s either a fake job to boost the company profile, 1400 applicants in under a minute, or auto-reject hours after applying– it’s brutal out there.
On the other hand, you finally land the gig and realize… oh shit, this is just a different kind of obstacle course chaos. Deadlines, meetings that couldn’t been emails, everything demanding your attention, and pretending to be productive at 3:47PM. No matter which side your on, the struggle is real– just depends on which kind of battle you’re willing to fight.
