Every time I’ve seen those Dos Equis commercials featuring “The Most Interesting Man In The World,” I think about Ernest Hemingway.
Not because of the beer, but because whoever wrote those ads had to have been thinking about him too.
The man lived more in 61 years than most people could fit into three lifetimes.
He was a war correspondent, a big game hunter, a deep sea fisherman, a boxer, a spy, and somewhere in between all of that, one of the greatest writers who ever lived.
He was far from perfect, but other full-grown men called him Papa and meant it.
