I believe it’s totally fair to say that nobody loved the game of football more than John Madden. Given how his playing career was cut short due to a knee injury, and how he took his passion for teaching to become one of the greatest NFL coaches of all time.
He would lead the Oakland Raiders to a Super Bowl win over the Minnesota Vikings in January of 1977. Not to mention his broadcasting career which earned him 16 Emmy awards.
Although Madden passed away in 2021, there’s no doubt that his legacy will live on. With Super Bowl LX right around the corner, we thought it was time to take a look back at the historic run of Madden’s iconic video games.
