How far would you go to help a stranger in need? What impact can we all make when we work together? Colin McConnell, Dane Wittig, and Tyler Wittig were pondering those questions while kicking a few beers back. They wanted to continue to help their community, but weren’t sure what made certain charity campaigns more successful and unique than others.
What started as a day drinking session turned into a strategy meeting on how they can help charitable causes near and dear to them. They all found that hobbies and passions were a great way to let people support a cause while doing things they love. After a few more beers, they decided that cycling would be their platform. Pedaling a bike doesn’t print dollar bills – but it does inspire people to become active as a community. Especially when their journey would be a 1,600 mile trek from Detroit to theCHIVE HQ in Austin.
