theCHIVE throws a lot of parties every year. Only two have been at my house – the annual 4th of July party and the GSB dinner. But it felt like there was something missing. A stool can’t stand on two legs, there must be three.
But what would that party look like? It couldn’t be a normal gathering of Chivers, such things are not possible. Surely, it would have to be Spaceballs themed, right? And with that, the idea of a ‘Gathering of Assholes’ began to take shape.
On its face, it’s a little bit crazy. Would Chivers and Shack members descend on Austin during the dog days of summer for a Spaceballs-themed party? I had no idea.
