Wild and Creative Excuses People Used To Get Out Of Work

I used to manager a pub and that came with its fair share of “sorry boss, can’t make the shift today” excuses.
None worse than when a busboy texted me an hour before his shift.
It went something like this: “A giant vase fell from the top of my fridge and I have to clean it. There’s glass everywhere and it’s going to take a long time.”
Not very creative, but you gotta respect the drive. Needless to say, his bussing career didn’t last long.
