It’s honestly laughable how often cats and dogs are put into the same box.
…Not literally, that would be absolute chaos, but when it comes to the categorization of what is/isn’t allowed in an apartment, or the definition of a classic pet, or when describing exactly how hard it might be raining outside, cats and dogs are usually one and the same.
But if you’ve ever met a cat and a dog, you’ll know just how foolish that way of thinking is. There’s a reason why “black cat energy” and “golden retriever boyfriend” are two entirely opposite ways of describing human behavior, and there’s also a reason why those two people often end up together — opposites attract, and all that.
Whether they’re sworn enemies, best friends, or somewhere in between, it is always a delight to see what happens when cats and dogs collide.
