After THIS POST about how owls work, I learned about flamingos and beavers. Researching animals, I was reminded of a time my buddy’s girlfriend nearly ditched the car we were in.
Heading to Ottawa she slammed on the brakes out of nowhere. We went from 100 km/h (62 mph) to zero in about two seconds as she whipped the car to the side of the road. Why? She saw a moose! Well, kind of. Turned out to be a wooden, silhouette yard decoration. Which is probably for the best given what you’ll learn about charging moose below.
