“Hi guys! Many people ask me 2 things: How did you find Scooty, and how do I find special needs animals to help? I actually found Scooty online, Baja Dog Rescue had posted her on PetFinder.com and that’s where I learned about her horrible start in life. I wasn’t looking for a special needs dog, but some times life gives you exactly what you didn’t know you needed,” she said in a recent Instagram post.

“Having Scooty changed my life in so many ways, it was so hard at first, I can’t even explain how complicated the beginning was for everyone involved! But she taught me unconditional love and patience and to never give up. Celebrating milestones such as standing up for the first time, taking her first steps, running in her wheelchair… all the way to running without it. She has brought me so many joyous moments, I will never be able to repay her for everything she has brought into my life and the love she gives me.”
