In an unexpected discovery, scientists recently found that jumping spiders may sleep and dream quite similar to humans.
According to an article in Mashable, behavioral ecologist Daniela Rößler accidentally discovered that the jumping spiders in the laboratory seemed to be sleeping and exhibiting something akin to rapid eye movements (REM) — a behavior humans and other animals often experience while sleeping.
