Who taught them to swim? Why? Why would you do this, God?
Texas has always been the Australia of the US. And swimming tarantulas are further proof of that fact.

The video was taken at the Big Bend Ranch State Park, located on the Rio Grande near Presidio, Texas. It shows a small pool of water, which isn’t out of the ordinary but what is striking is the giant tarantula swimming through the water. It appears that it doesn’t have any difficulty swimming at all!
