Vet pours out tearful words over having to put down a special dog
I have grown up with dogs almost my entire life, and I know two undeniable truths. One, there is no more unconditionally affectionate and loving creature on God’s green earth. And two, losing that friend that has brought you so much joy and beautiful camaraderie is always soul-crushing beyond words. Literally, there are NO words that cover the depth of emotion one feels for their fallen friend.
So when it comes to the end of a dog’s days, vets are required to carry out euthanasia, in the hopes of easing the canine’s inevitable passing . But vets are people too, and even though it’s only their job, they can experience a loss just the same. Such was the case of veterinarian Brenda Gough from Burford, Ontario who wrote an emotional Facebook post, explaining how she felt when pushing the needle into one of her good friend’s dogs she had come to love herself over many years.
Brenda’s honesty has garnered 26K reactions and nearly 126K shares. And you’ll have to hear her words for yourself to truly understand the pain…
