James Joyce was an Irish poet and novelist. Recently, we published a piece on his banned book, Ulysses and how a first edition sold for nearly $400K back in 2009. His letters have also been known to hold incredible value. In 2015 two of his signed letters sold for $25,000.
Clearly, the man had a way with words. What they didn’t tell us in English or History class was how unashamedly horny Joyce was.
However, now thanks to The Selected Letters of James Joyce – including those sent to his lover, Nora – we get a glimpse into the filthy mind of the Irishman. What follows are excerpts from Joyce’s actual letters. Maybe find some privacy for this one.
