When you think of classical art, you imagine that it’s beautiful and a great representation of the complete mastery that artists had of their craft. You could spend hours wandering art galleries looking at the works of the masters and know what beauty is. I’ve seen works of art that have taken my breath away and that I’ve just stared at for a good few minutes, taking it all in. That’s art.
Then there are these paintings. I don’t know what the hell is going on here and I don’t think the subjects should be charged for this work, nor the patrons to visit that museum. Were the artists mad at their subjects or did they actually capture the reality of the unfortunate looks these people were rocking? If these pictures are the truth, then I’m glad I wasn’t around to see these people in the flesh.
Take for example this one, it’s like Gonzo the muppet woke up the next morning hungover and a little confused as to who he brought home last night.
