You’d be hard pressed to find a chapter on a hot streak quite like our friends at Denver Chive. Along with The Colorado Berry, they organized a handful of recent meetups to raise money for a sweet little girl named Miley Hastings and her family.
Miley is barely 3 years old and is already battling for her life. She was recently diagnosed with childhood A.L.L., or Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, on January 5, 2019. Miley started chemotherapy exactly two days later. I for one could not even fathom hearing those words, or how long the journey would take to stand a fighting chance. Miley faces at least 2 years of chemotherapy treatment before she’ll be healthy again. While A.L.L has a high cure rate, the side effects of the chemotherapy treatments can be earth-shattering mentally, physically and financially for both the person and their family.
