Post Traumatic Stress Disorder was once known as “Shell Shock” and is a mental condition that is triggered by either witnessing or experiencing a terrible event. A sufferer of P.T.S.D. may fall victim to such symptoms as flashbacks, severe anxiety, and nightmares far beyond their control.
While not limited to them, P.T.S.D. is incredibly common among soldiers and first responders. These are people who often witness more terrifying things than anyone else. It’s important that we understand as much as we can about P.T.S.D. so here are a few things we should know.
