Walk down any grocery aisle or into any fast food joint and you’ll run into a gallery of faces. Smiling men, friendly grandmothers, wholesome families — all staring back at you from boxes and bottles, radiating trustworthiness.
Some of those faces belong to real people. Others are characters that were completely made up to boost sales.
