Man, you really can’t make this stuff up.
History often makes for some of the best stories, because if half of what humans got up to back in the day were written down as fiction, people would be critiquing just how unbelievable it all sounded.
This is one of those stories.
Today we’re taking a look at the Crash at Crush, in which two steam locomotives crashed into each other, head-on, for a publicity stunt.
It’s September 15, 1896. William George Crush, the general passenger agent of the Missouri-Kansas-Texas Railroad, got it into his mind that the demonstration of a train wreck would be one helluva spectacle, and so decided to invite the public out to see what that would look like, exactly.
