78 years ago, on December 7th, 1941, Pearl Harbor in Honolulu, Hawaii, was devastated by a surprise and preemptive military strike by the Imperial Japanese Navy Air Service.
In the aftermath of the strike, 15 servicemen were bestowed the Medal of Honor for conspicuous devotion to duty, extraordinary courage, and complete disregard of their own lives above and beyond the call of duty.
