You probably know Rasputin best as the subject of one of the greatest disco songs ever made.
But the real guy was somehow even more unhinged than Boney M let on.
In case you’re not familiar with his legend: Grigori Rasputin was a filthy, hard-drinking Siberian peasant who convinced the most powerful royal family in Europe that he was a living saint, and then basically ran Russia from the shadows for years.
He healed the unhealable (allegedly), seduced the unseduceable, survived the unsurvivable, and predicted his own death with unsettling accuracy. All before the age of 47.
