We all know at least a little bit about it. Maybe you can even pronounce King Tut’s full name or draw the Eye of Ra from memory. Nevertheless, it’s one of those civilizations that continues to fascinate us.
But what most people do’’t realize is just how long Ancient Egypt actually lasted. This wasn’t some short-lived empire, it stretched from around 3150 BC to 30 BC, spanning more than 3,000 years of history.
To put that into perspective, Cleopatra lived closer to the invention of the iPhone than she did to the building of the pyramids.
