It’s hard to believe that 10 years have passed since that fateful text made its way through the radio waves.
“Thanksgiving dinner is at my house on Nov. 24 at 3:00pm. Let me know if you’re coming.”
“You not my grandma. Can I still get a plate tho?”
“Of course you can. That’s what grandma’s do…feed every one.
Who knew that one errant text and a small act of kindness would spawn a friendship that’s lasted a decade? Through the good times and the bad, tragedy and triumph, Jamal Hinton and Wanda Dench continue reminding the world of the importance of Thanksgiving.
