Alex Strub was training to deploy to Afghanistan when a middle ear condition called Chronic Otitis Media changed his world. Alex underwent surgery then was medically discharged in 2013. He came home to undergo two more surgeries and was diagnosed medically unable to work, go to school, or even drive a car.
After 6 years in military he came home like many veterans do– without a purpose. Until he saw the power of a service dog.
“My whole world came to a screeching halt,” said Alex. “The minute I held Arya, I knew my life was changing from that moment on. She became my motivation when I had none.”
