Team Stars and Team Stripes took to the gridiron here in New Orleans earlier this week to compete for the 2nd annual Veterans All-Star Game Championship. After an intense fourth quarter and overtime, the Stars won the game in a sudden death shootout. Final score: 20-19.
These men (and women) are playing for a lot more than the numbers on a scoreboard, I can tell you that much.
Since 2020, the USA Wheelchair Football League has been helping disabled veterans compete at the highest possible level.
