The NFL kind of went wild with the whole suspension thing since the turn of the millennium and the appointment of Roger Goodell (booo!) as commissioner of the league.
And the 2010s was the most punitive decade yet for players as the league cracked down on PEDs (you know, the stuff that made 80s baseball ELECTRIC) and player safety.
So here are some of the weirder, unfair, dumb and stupidly self-inflicted suspensions handed out to players back in the good ‘ole days.
