Many of us remember the struggle of trying to get online in the late 90s / early 2000s (that dial-up sound is permanently etched into my soul).
Times were simpler then. It took mere hours to download a single music file, or even to display a high quality image. The front page of most websites looked like something a 14 year-old kid would randomly doodle up. Nothing was as measured and calculated as it is now. Colors clashed, fonts were wacky and all over the place, and most importantly, it was a whole lot of fun.
