The stats and facts, which were pulled from the year 1915, have since gone viral on Facebook and Twitter as people are having such an hard time processing the reality not so long ago. A few quick eye-opening highlights mentioned were how the life expectancy for a male born in 1915 was only 47, compared to being 76 today. Heroin was readily available in pharmacies, and at the time the tallest artificial structure in the world was the Eiffel Tower rising 1,063 ft., compared to the Burj Khalifa in Dubai that stands 2,722 ft. tall. Of course, all information has to be taken with a grain of salt, but a great majority of these facts check out or are at least close to the reality of the times.
