The phenomenon of architecture is a uniquely human thing. It’s part of what defines us as a species.
When we go extinct, our legacy will still remain in the buildings, structures, and monuments we’ve built throughout our existence.
That’s why I feel that lost architecture is such a tragedy. And if we didn’t have cameras, we’d never know some of these buildings existed (let alone all the wonders and structures from ancient times).
