Anyone who has followed me or my writing knows that I’m a Pittsburgher, born and raised. God put an I.C. Light in my hand and gave me a swirlie in the Allegheny River.
That being said, I know a thing or two about how Yinzers speak. And I’m not talking the Seth Meyers and the Joe Manganiellos. I’m not talking the Carnegie Mellon University students.
I’m talking about crick-people. I’m talking about Danny the Dwarf who used to sit at the same barstool every Sunday at the St. Cloud Hotel to watch football. So I’m gonna take you through some basics, and then we’ll work our way up to the Mt. Washington of Yinzer terminology.
