If you tuned into the Women’s Freestyle Skiing Half-Pipe competition in PyeongChang this week, you may have been a bit confused by the completely mediocre runs put down by Hungary’s Elizabeth Swaney, who’s both the worst and best Olympian ever. Well, according to Twitter, you’re not the only one.
The 33-year-old finished last in qualification after completing two runs with hardly an attempt at one trick. As mind-numbingly average as it was, the story of how she worked the system to get there has captivated and inspired fans everywhere, and if nothing else, you have to respect her hustle.
