Ah, the ol’ “Landlord Special.”
Slap a few coats of paint over it, make it look clean and fresh, call it a day.
It’s actually pure laziness, annoying to the tenant, and cuts costs, therefore looking cheap.
My old landlord painted over the entire fuse box. Like switches and all.
It always reminds me of this classic Mr. Bean skit:
