Week 5 of the NFL was less football and more a glitch in the simulation. We witnessed miracles and meltdowns that the meme economy is still processing.
Mac Jones played amazing, causing every football analyst to immediately delete four years of hot takes. Stefon Diggs returned to Buffalo, and the emotional turmoil alone caused the Bills’ undefeated record to crumble beneath his side-eye. And in perhaps the most bizarre ending of the year, Trevor Lawrence literally tripped, stumbled, and somehow still powered through to beat the Chiefs, proving the Jaguars’ new game plan is “chaos works.”
Speaking of crumbling, there are no more undefeated teams left, meaning the entire league is now just a bunch of slightly-better-than-average teams. And of course, the Ravens’ downfall continued…
