I think we all know at least one kid in school that proudly shouted out “I’m going to be an astronaut!”
We also know that those kids never exactly got off the Earth in most cases (though, the one I knew probably thought he’d left the Earth after abusing LSD as hard as he did), and this Twitter hashtag (#ChildhoodDreamsVsReality) illustrates that harsh context more than any childhood anecdote ever could.
