For once, I actually have a relevant story about “dodging a bullet.” During last week’s insanity with the snowpocalypse in Texas, the house I’m renting a room in never lost a single utility. We kept gas, electricity, water, and internet the whole time with enough food to last until the melt. I cannot tell you how lucky I’ve felt, because I think I was damn near the only editor on the entire site living in Texas who managed that.
