A California police department is absolutely crushing the social media game as of late. Murrieta PD has been plastering their mugshots and arrest photos with LEGO heads, and it has no right to be as funny as it is.
According to their page, Murrieta PD has been covering the faces of perps due to privacy reasons. “On January 1st, a new law went into effect that restricts the how and when law enforcement agencies in California share suspect photos & mugshots. The new law, Assembly Bill 994 & Penal Code 13665, now prohibits law enforcement from sharing suspect photos for nonviolent crimes, unless specified circumstances exist.”
Hey they’re following the law, I don’t see anything wrong with it.
