I’m not saying that there’s anything wrong with buying or thrifting an ugly Christmas sweater. But if I’m remembering correctly the whole idea behind these ugly sweater parties was originally just grabbing either a stupid sweater your grandma had gifted you that was 5 sizes too big, or literally taking something from your mom’s closet.
