Unlike most of these reply round-ups that I put together, I DEFINITELY have stories for this topic. I went to an art school for college, and the amount of pretentious shit that spilled out of people’s mouths like a chocolate fondue fountain was staggering.
(I mean, I know I should have expected it, but when you hear someone say that they’re going to make music without knowing how to play any instruments and they call it “a purer expression of music than actual musicians could dream of,” it’ll make you throw hands on the spot.)
But these are still pretty fucking pretentious, even by my lofty standards.
