Holy. F*cking. Shit. Those evil PGA mad lads actually did it. After several contentious years of both public and private battles, the PGA Tour has apparently agreed to merge with its supposed rival, LIV Golf.
Why exactly does this have the golf world’s flat caps blown back? For starters, PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan has dragged the Saudi-backed LIV brand through the bunkers for years. He’s also remained vigilant in pressuring current PGA Golfers not to accept massive $100+ million signing bonuses with LIV Golf (touting loyalty), while simultaneously condemning those that did.
